Google map
I've managed to create my very own Google map. This is very exciting! My map covers a potential itinarary for a future holiday to India and Nepal. Initially I inserted markers and lines between destinations when the map was zoomed out a fair way. From this distance the markers and lines looked accurate, but when zooming in to mark smaller cities, it became apparent that the markers and lines were not particularly precise. The anal librarian in me insisted on perfecting them with the map editing tools. After much exploration I am now well versed in the geography of that region. This exercise highlighted the value of such maps for educational purposes.
